Shame on UX Presents Critique for a Cause
Shame On UX is back for 2020 with Critique for a Cause! This virtual design and UX event from Arcweb Technologies and the Shame On UX meetup will teach participants about the basics of UX heuristics and assessment through a short seminar led by the Arcweb design team, followed by hands-on exercises. The event is open to everyone and requires no prior design or product experience whatsoever—all you need to do is sign up, show up, and learn.
This year Shame On UX is partnering with local non-profits to give attendees the chance to help some good causes improve their website user experiences. After an educational seminar about the basics of UX and UX heuristics, participants will break into groups and work alongside subject-matter experts from one of the non-profits to conduct a basic UX assessment on their website and identify difficulties and areas for improvement (with some guidance from the Shame On UX team). At the end of the event, each group make a short presentation on their findings.
This is a fully virtual event—but participation is limited, so make sure to reserve your space in advance!
